I think that means you have to get the updates, and if I'm right then you have to do it the old fashion way, manually.

BUT Im talking about Halo Custom edition the Online Only version...
Now I dunno were to find the Custom Edition patches ^^ So...

1.07 was a manual update patch, you'll have to try googling it as it's so old most of us have forgotten where it is >_>

I also get this error. It sucks because in the xfire server browser it shows a lot of servers that I can't join and you don't know until you already run the game.

I mostly see this problem with people who have fake or stolen CD keys.

I have 4 machines and all my Keys and valid and bought and paid by myself thats right 4 retail halo PC's and when I installed Halo CE I made sure to use the correct keys. Updated all of them with the NEw 1.08 patch and now 2 of them get this error messege "client is older than server" But the other 2 are fine .. before doing this update they all connecting back and forth no problem .. I refuse to freaking uninstall and reinstall them again is there any way to undo a patch/update?
