The "best" professions depend on what you want to accomplish in-game, and even then you will find a lot of opinions on different combinations.

I have characters with different Profession combinations, because I like having variety. I play most with my Necromancer/Mesmer (first GW character), because I like the Curse and Domination Attributes.

I have a Paragon/Warrior, and he's done pretty well as a support character for my party (I play PvE). I am a little disappointed with how specific Paragon Skills seem to be. ArenaNet also nerfed a few Paragon Skills, but the nerf mainly seems targeted towards PvP players. I read somewhere, I think it was on the GuildWiki builds section, that someone had a Paragon/Warrior get a Survivor title (no deaths up to level 20) and played through to the end of Nightfall.

For single Professions, I have to say that Mesmer is my favourite. I enjoy Domination (interrupts, especially) and the Illusion (DPS FTW!) lines. I like it so much that I tend to choose Mesmer for my characters' Secondary Professions. My Warrior, for example, is a Mesmer Secondary.

there is no best profession combo, its just somthing that works for you like me my main can have 4 professions W/Mo,W/N,W/D,or my favorite W/R
    soon to be
a warrior that has 5 super vigor runes cough *+50 hp each* grand total of 730hp with out skills then you add my embossed aegis wich has +25hp and my fiery dragon sword of fortitude (+22 hp) grand total of 757 hp
and i can have alot more once i get a exhaulted aegis(+45hp) so thats gunna be795hp cant wait till i get all that $$$$$$$$

W/R, W/N, W/Mo works fine with me and for some reason people dont like the fact that professions are just as good as the other

It really isn't. For example, how many Me/Rt builds do you know?

There isn't any best combination, but I consider Mesmer one of the best secondary professions. All professions have good /Me builds. Most popular /Me combinations are Mo/Me and E/Me, and there are also builds like SS nuker for N/Me.

Kriegor, sorry to burst your bubble dude but 5 Sup vigors won't stack. There is no need for that amount of health anyway, unless ofcourse your tanking DoA/FoW(FoW you don't even need that much) 450 - 500 health is fine a normal rune set for a warriopr would be

1 Superior Sword/Axe/Hammer (whichever you are using)
1 Superior Vigor or whatever you can afford
    1 Minor/Major Strength

    Also,

tumbiloco, Strength is a warrior only attribute so you won't have that choice as a Paragon/Warrior

I've found that having Necro as a 2nt profession is a good way to go. Sapping health, and animating bone horrors.

Bone horrors that die after 1 minute or less.

W/N is a good combination though, Many W/Mo use healing hands when you get low on health, but W/N will cast Grenth's Balance.

Yeah, sorry but guild wars wanted to add this message to runes but it didn't fit. "Note to noobs: Runes are non stacking."

Can only have strength if warrior was your first profession.

W/N could just Plague Touch foes - That's the only way to go.

Puxel. You've got 0 experience atm.

That's good for fighting condition spamming builds, but Grenth's Balance with plague touch is nice. Hell, you can add some health sacrificial spells then cast Grenths balance.

I have two types that I really like. D/R Mostly for poison arrow and the Derv can strike up to 3 enemies if they are close enough. R/P for "Go For the Eyes! Barrager" but that was moved to "General Barrager". I'm almost always a ranged/caster, except Monk. I never liked the idea of people yelling at me for not healing.

You want a good build try Me/E attributes being fast casting, domination, and fire magic. Great build for taking out those enemy monks out fast and causing heavy damage.

i like warrior/assasin. sometimes a warrior's problem is that the target runs. with shadow stepping, you can attack on sight and the target cant really prepare.

    That sounds so random.

My best N/Mo build gotta be Dark Aura Spiker.
    Death Magic 11+1+3
    Blood Magic 12+1
Soul Reaping (rest of your points)+1

    1) Touch of Agony
    2) Wallow's Bite
    3) Blood Renewal
    4) Dark Aura
    5) Contemplation of Purity
    6) Aura of the Lich
    7) Consume Corpse
    8) Rez or Dark Pact

A bit obsolete since NF was released and CoP was nerfed, but still kills warriors faster than they can say "toucher". Basically you use AotL, Dark Aura, then go near to your target, hit Blood Renewal and then just spam 1 and 2 until your target dies. Use #7 when you're done. Use #5 when you're about to die (If you have AotL and BR on you).

Umm, well I don't use guides for my builds I just make them up I didn't know there was a build out there similar to this so no I don't need echo my build works fine the way it is plus does very good for the amount of time i've played with it.
