Most leagues and teams are expecting competition play to be 5v5 is there anyway to make it 5v5 rather than 4v4? Or is that all the sponsors would offer

  4. #4
5v5 is what all teams from cod2 making the merge are using and used to playing with. This will throw off the basis of alot of teams.

A good team will be able to adapt to different environments. A lot of people are very excited about the tournament, and there are already over 100 teams signed up. They are fully aware that it is 4v4 and not 5v5, and this has not stopped them from signing up.

To clarify regarding prizes: Teams of 4 are competing in matches. The sponsors have provided 4 prizes for each member of the team participating in these matches. If your team wins, but you have more than 4 members in your team (like 1 or 2 subs), you will not be getting more than 4 prizes. The format of the matches is 4v4. It's not a satisfactory situation for people who have more than 4 team members, but the sponsors have kindly provided these prizes they have determined that this is the number of prizes they want to award to the winners.

i think this idea is really great. xfire is so huge now and organizing its own tournaments within its own community is awesome. im glad to know you picked up a new hit game too (CoD4).

XFire should really consider branching off into other games and holding more tournaments more often. New MP games like TF2 would be great, and the community would respond well to it.

The tournament is for North American players, due to ping times.

The age restriction is stated in the tournament rules. Follow the rules or your team may be subject to disqualification.

    5 pm eastern?

    edit

    5 pm eastern?

Why is the first match on Friday at 5 pm eastern?

It seems like xfire is trying to cut out 3/4 of the working USA who want to play in the tournament. We have freakin jobs. I have to take off work a half day to make it home to start the match? Why the hell would the tournament be 5 eastern (I don't even know how they are going to make it home in time) not to mention 4 o clock central 3 mountain and 2 pacific.

Whoever put this crap together at xfire is a tard. N00b.

There are people who are older than 12 that play these games too. Douche Bag.

  19. #19
seriously.. if the tournament is for people 17 and older, your time for the first match is for THE WRONG CROWD, at the earliest.. make it like 8 eastern holy ****

Having never played the "Mod" warfare part of the game, will we be allowed to use our unlocked weapons, with the selected perks for this tourney? Or do you get to set up the normal kits with perks on mod servers? I'm still a bit hazy on that issue.
