If you can't get online you probably pirated it.

If you actually got it legally, though, I would check your ISP and your internet cables and make sure everything's connected...

pirated copies still work (mine is a legal)

anyway is the game patched? very few to no one uses the unpatched now a days bf1942 is a different story
