BF2 Demo and 'joining'

Folks,

We've been asked quite a bit since last friday about joiniong with regards to the Battlefield 2 Demo. BF2 has changed the way it does game joining from BFV and BF1942. The new way does not currently allow Xfire's 1-click join feature to function.

Command line joining is what Xfire, and other game utilities use to pass the IP and port info into the game when it is started up. If the game doesn't support this, we can't add the 'instant join' feature.

As none of us have a copy of the full game yet, we cannot say whether or not the full version of BF2 will have command line joining. If it does, Xfire will have joining support. If it doesn't, we'll still give you detection and in game and any other functionality that is possible.

Yeah, I have know idea how you missed in bold letters in the Forum Index 'Battlefield Vietnam' But i think you did. Ok, i'm going to tell you how the forum works. Battlefield 2 = were you should be, and should of posted this. Battlefield Vietnam = Not were you should be and not were you should of posted this. I think the message is clear enough for even you, the person who missed 'Battlefield Vietnam' in the Forum Index to understand.
