Music while gaming.

I know theres been these threads in the past but I don't want to bring threads back from the dead.

Basicly say the music you listen to while play a game, tell us what game aswell.


while playing battlefield 2 I normaly listen to Metal(Mudvayne, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For my Valentine mainly)

On WoW I listen to metal as well, but only songs by Killswitch Engage.

Well, when playing FPSs, i do not play music. I plug in my stereo head phones and listen for foot steps. When playing anything else, I'll just listen to practically anything. I've been known to play maple while blasting ICP, Twizted, and other horrorcore, and i've also been known to bump classical piano concerts while kicking people's rears at Command and Conquer, so yea, i'm not your typical music listener.

That depends on the game I'm playing. When it's Guild Wars, I prefer some fast paced metal, and when it's some MMORPG I rather listen to something slower and more epic.

I think I've listened to nearly all of my music while gaming (not necessarily every song and album, but every band at least).

By metal I don't mean Mudvayne sort of metal. They aren't even considered metal by many. The least metal band I listen to is new In Flames, although I don't really enjoy it... They write good songs, but the terrible lyrics and vocals ruin them.

Moonsorrow is pretty good when I'm raiding. Their songs are very epic and very long. Their longest song lasts over 30 minutes, and it's really a song, not several songs mixed to one track like long tracks tend to be.

Like Irumi said it all depends on what I'm playing. If I'm playing something fast paced like an fps I listen to techno. If I'm playing a game like Guild Wars or WoW I listen to rock.
