How to make Xfire detect RuneScape.

RuneScape is now supported. Here are somethings you should note about the RuneScape support on Xfire.

1. Xfire only supports the RuneScape version with the exe. We do NOT support the Java version.

2. RuneScape does not have registry keys, so you must manually detect the game. For instructions on this:

3. There is NO in-game for this game, which means there will be no screenshots or videocapture. This should not be that bad because the game is played in windowed mode to begin with.

4. Do NOT start anymore RuneScape threads. If you need to post about RuneScape post on this thread. These post must ONLY deal with support issues. Flaming of any sort will not be tolerated. And refrain from asking for in-game/screenshots/video.

I was seeing if it lives up to its hype. Got to level 20, then became grind, grind, grind. Don't like it at all.

Don't give me that. Every tuesday I go to the elementary school and help the special needs teacher. I'm using it as a term of expression, not to offend anyone. I mentioned WoW because most people look as it as a game for nerds or geeks. But you know the real geeks are the people critizing other people for their gaming style.

"Lol" is an opinion because your making fun of this game. I don't know for what reason but its quite annoying. Actions can also lead to opinions, look at the middle finger :roll: .

Sorry to look like a total ass here, but I can't find Runescape in the list of manually selectable games. Do I need to wait for an update or am I doing something wrong?

1. Click on Tools > Options
2. Click on Games Tab
3. Expand Not Installed list
4. Click on Runescape
5. Click on Manual Detect
6. Enter the path or browse to where you installed the Runescape client.

If you are using the Java version (version played in your browser), this cannot be supported. You will need to installed the Client if you want Xfire to be able to detect you as playing it.
