    Skin Documentation

Early next week I will put these docs into the xfire website. For now, feel free to get them from a temporary location.

    http://www.xfire.com/xf/skinstutorial.php

Its not perfect of course but it has good stuff in it.
between this and xfireskins.com we should be able to make some decent tutorials for you guys.

Is there a list of the "actions" available and if not, can one be posted? Thanks in advance.

New here, before I begin I was wondering if this has been updated?

If it has not, where can I get updated info?

It may be more complicated, but it adds more functionality to the skins.

If you really want to learn to make skins, you need to study up on the code from the tutorial and also a skin such as the Xfire skin at the same time. This will show you how the code terms from the tut are used in an actual skin. Its how i learned and maybe this info can help anyone interested in making Xfire skins.

I just noticed the Skin Tutorial has been updated. It now has walk-through for the Standard skin. Its full of valuable information for anyone interested in making an xfire skin.

    Other Points of Interest:
    Group Chat!
Xfire now has a "Group Chat" feature. Currently it only works with three skins: Xfire, Standard, and Combat. All of which are Official Skins from Xfire. Its still in early development so some bugs may exist. Lets hope this feature can be used with other non official skins in the future.

    New official skin from Xfire!
Xfire released a new skin called "Combat". "Designed for people who love games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield 1942."

Here's a link to another resource, the Xfire Skinning Guidelines.

    http://media.xfire.com/content/skins...Guidelines.pdf

This was more directed at Xfire Partners but useful info regardless.

    mfive,
In regards to the animation in Skins, is that only for button states? Is there plans to be able to use animated gifs throughout the skin?

Something like an Animated fire flickering behind the Buddy View list.

An animated flame is possible allready, I don't know about placing it behind the buddylist.

I must agree with you, animated images don't have many posibilities within xfire
