    Windows 8 CompactWindow Error

I recently upgraded my computer to the new Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Since Xfire wasn't supported after I upgraded, I re-installed Xfire and made it compatible with Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and it started working again.

However, now whenever I click on any buttons or attempt to chat with people, my computer screen goes all black, and I have to go down to my taskbar, where i would have two+ tabs for Xfire, one for the main menu, others for the chats, and then one separately for the CompactWindow, which made the black screen. When I clicked the CLOSE button, it would go away and my screen would return back to my desktop.

Is there any way anyone knows how to get rid of this?

Since we do not support Windows 8 until after it's officially released, we cannot assist you with your problem.

Maybe one of our community members can help you.

Alright. Should I keep this in this forum if I want others to help me with it?
