Hi,

While NHL 12 is a fabulous game, EA has unfortunately left us in the dark ages as far as online franchise-mode gaming is concerned. NHL 09 for PC was the last game which features a real online league engine and the ability to export and manipulate stats. The Virtual Hockey Association is possibly the last remaining NHL for PC league out there. While NHL 09 is missing a number of bells and whistles compared to NHL 12, the gameplay is second to none. In addition, we offer the following:

- Build or take over a franchise and mold it to your liking
- Real 82-game NHL schedule
- in-depth league stats, scores, standings, injuries, scheduling etc updated every half hour on the league website
- Draft, trade, be part of the Free Agent frenzy.
- Be part of a hockey loving gaming community.
- Participate in tournaments like our yearly World Junior Championship.

This is a keeper league that's been running for 11 seasons. Custom hand-rated rosters for every player in your organization (including minor league affiliates, junior/college/european). Realistic-minded gameplay and a core group of quality individuals that has stuck together throughout the years.

While the league admins make sure the db, sliders and gameplay feels real, our GMs live for realistic gameplay, and 3rd party forums such as Breakaway.net do a masterful job releasing add-ons making sure the game looks like a million bucks. It's a winning combination.
