    Duel audio input

Sorry if i put this in the wrong place or something, i'm new to posting on forums. Xfire is a great tool and i really feel it is as good as the recording programs you have to pay for. There is just one small feature that i would like to see added to this brilliant piece of software, and that is the ability to have Duel audio inputs. for example, having the ability to have games sounds and also have a commentary over the top of a Skype call. i know you can use your computers stereo mix to give commentary over game sound, but for me, the game sounds really over power the commentary so you cant here it. I try to lower game sounds to there lowest level but it is still load in the actual recording.

In another ,paid for, recording program called Bandicam, there where two very clear boxes for audio inputs, a primary and a secondary, they gave you the ability to have the game sounds come though the primary and then the audio mic out the secondary (or visa verse), so the the audio from the mic was more dominant over the game sounds but didn't completely get rid of them. i feel having a nice simple feature added in to Xfire would make commentaries more achievable, which may make others use this software over buying one.

thank you for reading, any comments are welcome, but please be nice as this my first time posting on a forum properly.

    Thank you

You can actually easily adjust the volume levels of the game and the stereo mix (or the mic volume) so that you don't have this problem.

i tried all sorts of different levels of volume, i tried turning down the sound in the game and in the volume mixer, i have also adjusted my mic all the way to the top and also had it with the boost on. maybe i am doing something wrong, i will test it out again but could you give any advise?

OK, well are you under XP, vista or 7?

With vista/7 you can adjust the volume of the game itself, so you'll want to lower that.

If you have XP, it'll be a bit trickier. Stereo mix is everything, so lowering that will also lower mic volume as well as the game sounds. You need to unmute the Mic, make the mic volume high, use mic boost, and start lowering everything except Mic and stereo mix. You might have to go into the volume changer's advanced settings and unhide several mixers.

    Hope this helps
