Right, so Xfire now shows in the taskbar when open... How do you disable this since I don't see an option for it?

Yeah, this is really annyoing. Please make an option to disable it!
If there won't be implemented an option to disable this I'll uninstall xfire. This mostlikely is the most unnecessary "improvement" xfire ever had.
I don't want any programs in my taskbar that run all the time, it has to stay in the tray.
Simply press the Minimize button at the top right of the client to make it go back to tray... Like it's always been![]()

I like to have it on my screen on my second monitor, but it shows up in the taskbar on my main monitor now, its really annoying and there needs to be an option to remove it from the taskbar. Or I will have to uninstall.Originally Posted by benmcdermott

Same here. But i also have it often open on my main monitor. Basicly i have it always open wherever i put it, hidden behind the other windows. It's annyoing to have it always in taks bar or always bother with closing it.Originally Posted by aNGER
I've been a really long time user of xfire but this new "feature" is really, really bad... I have not got enough space in my task bar for the stuff I already have open, let alone xfire as well.. I dunno if I will keep using xfire if this stays like this...
Same. I have xfire open on my second screen as its good to have a quick look across to see who's on. Now I'm having to open it up fully to check which isn't good...Originally Posted by anger0
No, really? But when opening it it shows up in the taskbar again.Originally Posted by benmcdermott
I never minimized xfire, because other programs like firefox simply cover the xfire client when focusing them. Also like the others pointed out if you've got a secondary Screen where you display xfire all the time you don't want to see the Taskbar Field of Xfire since it uses up unnessecary space and also is simply pointless because it's already in tray.
I've put this on our todo list.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of note with this new feature is that even when you have the newly-taskbarred main window in focus, it doesn't show as in-focus on its taskbar icon. The old version did that too(so if you had the main window open, the in-focus program on the bar was whatever you had in-focus before opening the main xfire window). So add a checkbox to general options to enable/disable, and when it's enabled, can you actually make it so it's shown as in-focus on the taskbar when you have it as your in-focus window on-screen?
Sorry if that makes no sense, the in-focus thing makes perfect sense in my head. By in-focus I mean highlighted on the taskbar as your currently "active" program window.

Much appreciated Xfire Devs. That's all we ask for really, the choice to have it show or not.
We'll ignore the over-dramatisation "end of the world" that some people rudely proclaim is occuring because they disagree with changes. :P
Or just dont have useless features? I have dual monitors, so it's always open on the right but I would much rather not have it in the taskbar. Having it open and in the tray was nice, now it's just annoyingOriginally Posted by benmcdermott
