Simple fact is Xfire suck and over 4 years they have still not Evolved that much.
I didn't know this. Thanks for the tips.

Looks like to me your firewall is retarded.

It is unable to differentiate an application that uses Ad space to keep its servers online and it's service free. And actual Malware which opens up back doors to your system to send out your personal information to a home-server. Xfire does not send any personal information to anyone nor do they keep any information on their servers that you don't want there.

Xfire uses it's ad space in the client to advertise their contests and other game-related ads. None of them "phone home" any personally identifiable information to any servers. It simply just makes the connection and serves up simple ads.

My advice? Either ignore the warnings and allow Xfire communication on the ports it needs or get a better firewall.

did you read the firewall message? its the optional browser junk that comes with xfire see "conduitinstaller.exe"

and it also says it is simply a potentially undesirable application, its not saying its malware.

my advice? learn french or get reading glasses.
