Viewing a Website as a Status Option

This feature would allow the user to have a website logo as it's picture (much like games), would say on the status-(User) Viewing: [website], and then allow the person seeing the status to click on the person, and then have an option on one of the bottom buttons to go to that website. (like you would for joining a game that that person is in.)

ie - Zombng Status- Viewing: youtube.com

Another suggestion, similarly, would allow the user to post their status as something that they want people to see. Would also replace the person from having to post the link of whatever they're viewing (or want people to view) and therefore would be more efficient and less time-consuming. Again, like the first suggestion, this would have one of the bottom buttons to that people can click on the user and then the link to go to the status link.

ie - Zombng Status- Wants you to see: [link of what they want you to see]

I personally think this is a good idea. I know that the link thing will become very useful.

Allot of people now try to post links in there xfire status and just get the raw text of the link. Making the link more visible and able to click on will be great. This will also improve xfire.

I vote yes on this poll and also support this topic 100%.

You can already click links, you expand their profile in the box bit on the right and you can click the link. Been here for ages.

E.g., a screenshot of it what a fellow clan member, Thorn has done.

Therefore this suggestion is pointless, as it's already implemented.

    ....also, you should've used e.g. not i.e. :3

Hmmm.....but I would be talking about if people didn't want to expand their profiles and simply click a button to go straight to the link.

Sounds like a cool idea to me, but have the feature so it can be disabled for those who want privacy.

I think it's better how it already is, you could accidentally click the links quite easily I think if they were in the status bit in the user list.

Most people I know already have the expandable bit open, so it wouldn't be too hard to get there to click the link.

    Also, thanks Grif....xD

    Do not want.

Xfire should go back to its roots and redo the thing properly. Efficient in-game messaging for gamers with hour tracking and so on. All these extra things are not part of the plan of you ask me. But I would be fine with plugins to be created for running stuff like this, optional.

RE: Viewing a Website as a Status Option

If you want your friend to see what you are doing, set your status manually or tell them yourself.

Such an automated feature would be intrusive, it would have to support everyone's favorite browser, it has nothing to do with gaming (xfire is a gaming client, and it's utterly useless to boot.
