New "Phoenix" Default skin themes ?

What about themes for people like me liking the new skin just not the color...? at least add like Red & Green ? i mean themes added from Xfire team with 2.0 supported not custom.

The skin is packaged with the Xfire installer not the Xfire updater installer. They should have packaged it in both, but they didnt.

Download their latest installer here: http://www.xfire.com/download/now/ and run that. I dont think it overwrites your chat logs or custom settings, but you should look into that if you are worried about losing those.

Hey Everybody - we wanted to test out the skin in a wider group to make sure there are no last minute pesky bugs before we push it out in the updater (because it will change everyone's default skin to Phoenix). We'll be pushing it out in the next few weeks, until then Benny will be posting it in the skins download channel for you all or you can download a fresh install of the Xfire client

    Sorry for any misunderstanding!

    Cheers,

If you chose to make phoenix the default skin, please do a complete rework and reduce the size of every single button by at least 90%.

As you can see in that screenshot, the main xfire window and chat window's buttons are just way too big. There is no reason for the bars along the top and bottom of the chat windows to consume more space than the chat field itself.

Moving the tabs from the left, to the top where they originally were back in the old days of xfire was a great move, but to increase their size by twice as much was a huge step back.

Making the add friends button consume an entire new line along with the giant new single line text buttons just doesn't make any sense and consumes way too much space.

Hopefully you consider these suggestions in improving the skin before you make it default (and probably throwing away the shadow skin).

Also, keep the current "Shadow" theme. Provide a download in the XFire skins section if needed. There are people who are going to want to keep Shadow no matter how hard to try and improve the Phoenix skin.

Also, think someone at the XFire warehouse might be able to dig up the old default skin that was before Shadow? Toss that one up on the skins download section as well. Would go a long way to smoothing any ruffled feathers over the new Phoenix skin.

In all honesty, you should be doing this any way. When replacing old skin, add old skins to the skins download page, or allow the new update to keep the old skins as well so people can have a choice and retain their old skins if they feel they don't want to update.

I for one like the look of the new Phoenix skin, but I would also prefer to keep the Shadow skin.

I was designing something around the combination of the Pheonix skin and shadow theme. Was hoping to get it to become a default skin but guess I'm too late lol. I don't have much time to code it either. But here's my concept:

It's usable as a skin but it missing some key features which I am yet to talk to Reloaded about. Not much time at the moment, but hopefully should be released soon. Check your PM by the way.

I second that. Phoenix demands too much space for me to consider using it.

I\'m a mix of Vir Cotto and Michael Garibaldi. And I\'ve always been here.

Phoenix Skin has way too many bugs to be used so i Deleted it and will use Shadow for now on.
Although that Skin Design does look pretty good to me.
