Obviously, because the port of Halo 2 was such a massive success compared to the Xbox original and any successive sequels that it's a definite must.

Exactly, with a great development team like 343 behind it, Halo 3 PC would be a huge win for Microsoft. It might even gross more than the fabled Superman 64!

In reality, a port is possible. Because of the engine being used for the halo 1 remake, supposedly Halo Aniversary (or whatever its called) could be made to run on a PC with some minor code alterations. Chances are that M$ would rather play it safe though, and not spend the $$$ on porting it when they know for sure it will sell like crack on the Xbox.

Maybe, but they might just make the excuse that x86 -> x86 as it was on the Xbox to PC was wayyy easier than POWER -> x86 as it would be for the 360
