bfbc2 vietnam

I brought the retail version of bfbc2 & wanting to get Vietnam was looking at steam but said" only can get if you brought bfbc2 off steam aswell" so how do I go about buying Vietnam and still be able to Xfer both bfbc2& Vietnam on to another computer if I wanted to??

im pretty sure thats what it says under the heading for BATTLEFIELD and last time I checked Vietnam was a part of the BF series....
