Didn't they "fix" bunny hopping in BF2/2142 by disabling firing whilst jumping?

I think they removed the ability to fire, although I still see plenty of people who "dodge" via the bunny hop. I'm not sure they can get rid of it. Maybe if the jump button gets replaced entirely by a smart button scenario like Brink, bunnyhopping would be gone for good. They have jump mostly to overcome environmental obstacles. It's true in BF2/2142 the problem has been reduced from an offensive/defensive tactic to mostly a defensive one. I still see people trying to bunnyhop in Play4Free.

After fragging such a player, I often like to say, "Don't bother hopping, you'll just die tired."

I'm actually most impressed by the development of Deadman's trigger which reduces the amount of teabagging in a fairly innovative way.
