    Outrageous Prices for Add-ons

I guess they've got to make the money somehow.

£30 for 8 slots of mercenary heroes? that's like a brand new game yet we're not getting anything for it.

I still need to experience the new Minion UI though.

Actually, you can get something from it. Imagine a fully customized necro team. Play as a necro, put up the three normal necro heroes and then put up four necro mercenaries.

The only other benefit is the thought of having a party comprised entirely of your own characters from your account. But that's more of an aesthetic bonus.

The price IS pretty steep, I agree it being a micro transaction though, like Colo say's it's mostly aesthetic.

If this came out cheaper and a few years ago I would have gotten it, for me now it's to late I don't play that much, and it's like buying guildwars again at that price.

But think of it, it's be cool playing with yourself! yeah I said that on purpose. But a whole team of your crew, pretty cool.

ps. on a side note, I'm happy their still adding things to the game after so long & while making the sequel.

I thought the price was kinda high too, but I went for it. I actually suggested this to Anet a few years ago! So how could I pass on my own idea when they finaly implemented it!

this is actually the only add-on I was willing to purchace.
I turned my nose up at everything else.
    namechanger, didn't need it.
    makeover kit, no use.
costumes, I'll get my free hats over the holidays, tyvm.

although storage and character slots are handy, but not at that price.
all the pets for $10, better off spending the 4-6 hours getting them old fashioned way.

anyway, this is the only thing so far that's actually adding to the game and it's well worth the price.

If it was $10 i might get it, but $45 is a bit ridiculous.

Just wait for the price to drop. Or for some kind of event. They put storage panes on sale a couple months ago, and I was all over that like an IW Mesmer on the floor. As Colo put it, it's basically a way to make hard mode easier (than it already is :U) and solo farm areas like Domain of Anguish. You know, to further distance yourself from anyone else still playing (I kinda miss running PUGs in The Deep).

Though for someone like me, who is a loser that gave all of his characters a backstory, the aforementioned "aesthetic" quality of playing with your own characters is priceless. I'm still waiting for the price to go down, but that's my number one reason for wanting them.

Also; I think costumes are dumb and a smelly idea. THOSE are the real money wasters. But at least they're not charging us for stuff that effects the difficulty/playability of the game.
