Non steam version not detected

I bought UT2004 from gog.com, but when I try to add it to my xfire games list manually, it asks for steam.exe. I know I could go into the xfire_games.ini and manually change it to accept the installation, but then I would have to do that every time there's a game list update. Any way I can fix this? Maybe is there software that will automatically fix xfire_games.ini whenever there's an update?

There shouldn't be any problem with detecting non steam version.

Most of Xfire community's UT2004 players have not bought the game from Steam.
