Here are some guidelines for you to follow that will help us solve your issue in a more efficient manner:
1. Search the FAQ first!
Answers to common questions can be found in the FAQ which is accessible through the Help tab on the website or by going to Help | Contents in your Xfire client. You can search the FAQ by pressing Ctrl+F and entering keywords in your browser's search function.
2. Scan the first page or two of the forum for topics that may be similar to your problem
You may find an answer to your problem without having to make a new topic. You can also use the search bar at the top of the forums to search for keywords in the Technical Support forum for other threads with a similar issue.
3. When posting a new topic...
a. Please post a subject title that provides a clear indication of the problem
We understand most users posting here are seeking help, so posting something like "help plz" or "Major problem" does not benefit other users looking for threads related to their issue (See #2).
b. Give us details!
The more information the better. This way we don't spend a lot of time just trying to figure out what you have running on your computer. If you have Xfire In Game messaging problem, include what game you are playing, Xfire skin, your video card model and driver version. (Better yet upload a current Game Rig!) If you have a connection or login problem, include your router model, what security software you have and what troubleshooting steps you have already taken. Screenshots can be very helpful in troubleshooting. Posts consisting of one sentence like "I can't connect to Xfire" will be responded to with a link to the FAQ.
4. Do not hijack threads
Posting an issue which is similar but distinct from the original topic means that replies must either ignore your post or that of the original poster. It just makes the thread messy and difficult to follow. Please make new posts for your own issue.
5. Post the solution!
If your problem gets resolved, please post back a reply and tell us what the fix was! This lets us know that you are taken care of and may help other users facing the same issue.
6. Have patience
While we try to read every post, we cannot respond to them all. To help diminish the lack of responses, this forum is generally run by the community. We apologize if we missed your thread but you are always allowed to bump it if it gets past the second page.
