Hyped Level

Obviously most people will be Hyped for the next GW 'cause it's a GW forum, but some fans are bigger then others.

The latest Trailer "ArenaNets MMO Manifesto" can surly get someone excited and optimistic about the sequel, saying things we want to hear and playing music to get us enthrall in it. I for one hope they achieve their goals.

They basically tell us they don't want to re-make your usual MMO, but push the genre to the next level, for gamers this is a good thing if; 1 they reach the goal, 2 if it's fun.

Figured Id have some fun, I've predicted the GW2 professions by myself, figured Id share. I'm probably off, but it's fun anyhow.

I added #'s to the boxes so you can say what you think they are if you want to make a prediction.

I'm convinced will get a Mesmer, saw some in one of the trailers.
My gutt tells me #2 is an Assassin, and #5 maybe a Necromancer.

From what I heard about the novel if it is to be taken into what will be in the game then mesmers will be in it. Necromancers have already been confirmed by the demo. The thing is there is supposed to only be 3 scholar classes, 3 adventurer classes and 2 soldiers classes. With necromancer and elementalist already revealed and from the looks of it as scholars that means that either the mesmer will be the third scholar or the mesmer class is getting changed over to being an "adventurer" class while something else takes the third scholar spot. Considering the function of the skill illusionary weapon in GW1 it wouldn't be completely surprising if mesmers took on a new status in the battlefield with better armor.

There won't be monks in the traditional sense as they have said there is no dedicated healer. There are no spears and scythes so you can go ahead and scrap dervish and paragon as well.

Yeah I saw a gameplay trailer today on GT, I also get that idea their will be no healer. But I can clearly see NPC's with what looks like Dervish Armor, not sure if it would be playable, but Id love to (love the dervish)

So Monk's definitely out, I guess it's good, it was the hardest thing to get. GLF Monk, why you smiting?

In the demo their was jumping (we knew) and rolling cooool. + the elementalist was casting while moving, pretty epic.

I think it's going to be more fast pace.

I've actually not looked into it hugely and I think it is definitely being damaged by how much in the lime light 'The Old Republic' is at the moment, but I have no doubt that Guild Wars 2 will emerge the superior MMO.

Well info on the Guardian have been released, it's looking good.


Sounds like a mix of old classes with it's own twist. My Hype is still up, and my patience is on my side, but dam just for the next class info I was checking the site at least once a week sometimes more.

While the footage looks good, and they're making alot of assumptions on their market, I have moderatly high hopes.
I feel it'll be worth the wait though. the longer it takes, the more things they can put in it.

I'm still halfheartedly grinding to get titles and unlockables, so I got plenty to keep me busy.
it'd be nice to transfer a bit of currency though, not alot, but a few plat in the begining or something, I dunno.

oh i fell the same way, i just cant stop checking there page atleast 3-5 times a week... im SSSSOOOO looking forward to this game, dont know what class ill be playing as yet, but as it stands right now i would say Guardian.

well, easy enough to pick your first class. just pick the one most like your fist character from the first game.
mine were ranger and elementalist, so I'm pretty set.

I'm probably going to make my main a Ranger, always a favorite.

I hope the wiki for the game will be pretty complete at/or near launch. I'm thinking of checking out the class armors before creating my characters. Ever feel like "If I knew male (class) armors were so ugly, I would have made a female"

I might not base it on that, but I probably will.
