USERNAME Username taken:Another question regarding usernames

I normally go by just 'reds' but it seems someone has taken my nick. I haven't seen this person come online or anything... if he/she stays inactive for a long enough period of time, will it expire so I can take it back?

The problem here is that our users from Ultimate Arena are automatically registered with XFire, giving them the ability use their current UA user name and password immediately in XFire. So even if this person is not a heavy user of XFire, they are still a member of UA, and hence we can't release that user name for other people to use. So unfortunately, I don't think "reds" is going to open up any time soon. There is an off chance the user name might be freed if that person decides to cancel their account, but I wouldn't want to wait around hoping

I recently saw a chat box come up and it had my exact same username. The person came on and started talking with me. I knew they were messing with me but they kept taunting me asking me "why couldnt i get an original name" and then asked why i wasnt talking to them. I finally just turned off xfire. Now though i am a little concerned about my account. I was able to get onto my account and see that my password hadnt been messed with but dont understand how the person had the exact same username as me.

Should i be concerned?
