What's so fun about SRO?

I played this game like a year ago, and i have no idea why people are still playing it:
1. You can hardly get on
2. When you finally get on after 20 crashes, you crash out because the server sucks
3. So many lag issues
4. Grindfest
5. Quests are like "get 200 Chalkjees eyes" which took me like 20 hours cuz there's only like 1 out of 20 chance of them dropping an eye.
6. Everybody looks like clones
7. Grindfest!!!!
8. And if i remember clearly, you move by clicking instead of using wasd, it took me a while and i was like -.-
Are people playing this because it's free? jeeeeez, you can run guild wars or wow on the lowest setting if you cant buy a good rig. Oh yeah, and i played this cuz my friends told me to get to level 30 in a day with a 50 dollar bet (which i failed cuz i got so frikkin bored killing those chalkjeeezz.)

i played it like 1 month ago with my new dell xps and i was lagging... his computer does not suck

p.s. i got a download speed of 7 Mbps

I played to level 50 then stoppped and saw how just uninspiring this game was. I logged a lot of hours doing go nowhere trade runs, and stalls up over night. Its too much grinding, nothing realy to do, and the trades suck due to the horrible community (the ones that actualy play not bot)

I played up to level 24. I always, no mater what I was doing, had lag. My computer doesn't suck, my connection doesn't suck. It was the server itself. The servers do crash a lot.

I quite because I got extremly bored of the constant grinding and the annoying lag issues.

It sucks that I never get in to the servers anymore at daytime due to 'Server Traffic'. All the servers are overpopulated and if they're adding a new one it lasts less then a day that it's 'crowded'. I also have lag when I pass busy places like the center of a city like Jangan but also somethimes in the middle of nowhere. :roll: I have two characters, one is level 16 (not much, but takes a while with these boring quests...) and the other is level 12 or something like that. Haven't played it in weeks cause I never get into the server (Venice). It's funny in the beginning, when you level fast, but when you reach level 14 it gets boring and boring and boring...

I've been playing SRO pretty much since the beginning, and of course I'm not saying SRO doesn't have flaws, cuz it has, and everyone knows. But IMHO it has its good things aswell.

For a free game, it looks nice. I like the scenery, the gear and weapons of the character and how the skills look. (Especially the Bicheon Chains)

Jobbing is hella fun, especially with friends and guildies around. Traders traveling from city to city to make nice profits, Hunters to protect the Traders and the Thieves to rob the Trader and run off with their goods. :mrgreen:

You can't just play this game and say how you hate it before you even reached lvl 20, cuz the real fun is after you reached lvl 20.

However, this is just my opinion. Apart from the crowded servers, bots and the rest of that **** you need to be able to have patience to grind. If you don't like grinding alot, then you don't like the game either. It's a matter of opinion if you like it or not.

Well, I myself have the ****iest computer on earth and never lag... so my statement was utterly worthless. It does have good sides though.... knowing two of the highest lvl's on Venice is a plus as well I guess... till the lvl increase

You guys wana know WHY its always crowded...2 things.

1. Server capacity is only 3000 people (I know I read it on wiki or some place)
2. the botters and constant stallers that flood the towns crowd up the server seeling worthless garbage

Jobbing and PvP suck balls because the game is heavily unbalanced, hell even characters are unballanced. You want proof...pure str ice blader!! the most annoying stupidest over powered character in the game. Almost impossible to beat in general, I know because I made on so ddi my friend and we could take on 2 people our level at the same tim eand win effortlessly. Oh and since I'm on the subject of PvP..theres another crappy somewhat unbalanced part of the game. Its almost sole dependent on how many pots you have and gear...not skill at all, I;v PvP'd ebnough to know, did a bit of it on my server (troy)

As much as i hate SRO though, I will come on here and help the newbs and other people with tips on the game and all that junk since I was a lelvel 50 legit no botter. I know the game pretty well so if people ever need help and tips I can help

well if theres alotta lag you cn try this. go to options and set graphic quality to high and change the shadow from detailed to none. Itll help with the lag a little. i like the game but i dunno why all you do is grind, and trads rnt that fun either

I have played this game a long time now and I got a ****ty comp but never get problems/lagg when i play. Like it becus its a fun timekiller, got alot of items and stuff to find/trade/steal, and its free to play

Expansion opens next week... whole new ballgame. and if you truelly have probs with getting on, then BUY a premium ticket. I stopped complaining a looong time agao. The game is too fun. and obsolutely NO lag on this computer. 2.79ghz cpu, 1ghz ram, 8mbs cable modem. =D

2.I've been playing for almost six months now and I've only been kicked out twice.
